New Jersey Motorsports ParkTrack website - The track website is njmp.com - there is a lot of info there, including directions, track layout, local hotels and attractions, and video of the course.Directions - From Main Street (Rt. 49) in Millville, turn south on Cedar St. (CR 555 + CR 610), go .2 miles and turn left on S. Race St. (CR 555), go 1.2 miles and bear right on Dividing Creek Rd.(CR 555), go 1.2 miles to track entrance on right. Hotels - Country Inn, Millville - 856 825 3100 AAA discount 10%, 6 miles from track Ramada Inn, Millville - 856 696 3800 10 miles from track Holiday Inn Express, Vineland - 856 293 8888 AAA discount Wingate Inn, Vineland - 856 690 9900 , AAA discount There will be garages and driver suites built at the Thunderbolt Circuit, but none are planned for the Lightning Circuit There will be a hotel built across the street from the track, but construction has not yet begun Track Entry - When you arrive at the track, there will be a long, winding entry road. As always, track entry on Thursday night will begin when the track permits, probably around 6 pm. The gate will be open all night, but pit passes will only be sold up until 11 pm. If you arrive after 11, you can park and camp on the entry road until pit pass sales resume at 6 am Friday. Paddock Parking - The Lightning Race Course is to your right - you drive around the track and over a bridge into the infield paddock. The paddock is set up with a huge skid pad behind the pit buildings with RV hookups to the rear, about 400' from pit lane. If you park up front, there is no electricity. Be sure to leave clear all marked fire and travel lanes. Camping and electricity fees are charged by the track. Please be respectful of the roped-off areas - these are reserved for our WKC sponsors and the USSK racers who are supporting our event. Facilities - The bathrooms are in the middle of the pit building. Food will be available - location tba. At the present time, there are no showers at the track. NJMP is working on a temporary solution before our event. Fuel will be available, times tba. F1 New Jersey Kart Track - The kart track will be open during our weekend under the lights until 9 pm - you are invited to come over and try out the facilities. Wristbands indicate that you have paid for admission to the track and are covered under the liability insurance policy. Anyone found not wearing his or her wristband will be fined $10 and asked to produce his or her pit pass. If they did not purchase a pit pass they will be removed from the track and the WKC Board will take other disciplinary action. Registration - Registration will be open Thursday night for Pre-Registration pick-up only. Registration will open at 6:30 Friday morning. Registration will be closed during the Drivers Meeting. Safety Tech - Safety Tech will be open Thursday night from 7:00 to 8:30, at the Tech Shed. Other times and locations tba. Friday Practice - You must be entered in a class to practice on Friday. There will be a special wrist band for Friday practice drivers. Quiet Time - We observe quiet time at the track from 10 pm to 7 am - this means no motors, no pit bikes, and no loud music. Please be respectful of your fellow campers. Waste Disposal - There are places at the track to dispose of oil and fuel - please us them. Take your used tires home with you - the track will charge the club for the ones left behind. Pets - Pets are permitted in the paddock as long as they are on leash and you clean up after them. They are not permitted in the hot pits during the racing day. Trophies - Trophies must be picked up or special arrangements made before you leave the track Sunday night. Saturday Night Party - The Woodbridge Kart Club will host a social Saturday night. 2009 on the Thunderbolt will be a barbecue and sides for $10 per person. Minors - Copy of birth certificate and brief written racing history is needed in advance. If this documentation is not provided, the minor (under 18) will not be able to go on the track.
