May 20-22 AKRA / WKC Summit Point Nationals News and Information

SUMMIT POINT, W. Va. — With our 2022 season set to open THIS FRIDAY & SATURDAY at Summit Point Motorsports Park’s Shenandoah Circuit, that means we’re only a little more than a month away from the long-awaited WKC-hosted season opener for the American Kart Racing Association / Hoosier Kartsport National Road Race Series May 20-22 at Summit Point’s 2.0-mile Main Circuit.

Last year this event attracted over 400 race entries and officials are expecting similar numbers this year. 

Here’s the first round of news and information on the May 2022 AKRA Road Race Nationals at Summit Point.

  • Pre-registration will open Wednesday, April 20. Online registration is available at wkc.raceday.pro. The mail-in pre-entry form will be available on the WKC website by April 20.
  • The first version of the event schedule has been released. To view, click here. Watch for minor updates to the schedule in the weeks leading up to the event. Any updates will be announced.
  • Event Pricing is as follows:
    • Class: $125 per class pre-entry; $150 at track
    • Friday Practice: $110 pre-entry; $150 at track
    • Driver Pit Passes: $35 pre-entry; $40 at track
    • Non-Driver Pit Passes: $20 pre-entry and at track; $10 for Sunday only
  • For this event, WKC will offer competitors who register for 4 classes AND pre-pay for Friday practice a $60 discount on their total cost (roughly a 10% savings). When you enter four or more classes and Friday practice, use the discount code RUN5 to receive $60 off the total cost.
  • Summit Point will be open Thursday evening, May 19, for pit pass sales, parking, registration and pre-tech. Times are shown on the event schedule.
