The long awaited return for kart road racing at Summit Point Motorsports Park is just around the corner! The WKC Board of Directors is busily preparing and working out final details for the season opener on the Shenandoah Circuit July 11-12, 2020! Please read this release in its entirety as we have updates concerning procedures and expectations as set by the facility.
Pre-registration continues to be open for both online and mail-in pre-entries. Competitors are strongly encouraged to pre-enter for this event, as it will save you money and potentially a lot of time at the track. You may also purchase your pit passes in advance of the event and this, too, will save you time at the track. If you are mailing in your pre-entry, if possible, please postmark your entry by Friday, July 3, 2020, to allow our staff to process your entry and update the computer database to save you the time and hassle at the track.
The link below will take you to the Summit Point Motorsports Park homepage. We encourage you to view the site to familiarize yourself with the protocols that the track will require of us in order to participate.

To summarize, here is what you can expect and where your cooperation will be imperative:
- Food/concession services will not be available throughout the weekend
- Masks or facial coverings will be required when you are not in your immediate paddock space. This includes the mandatory driver’s meeting each morning
- Social distancing is encouraged at all times and will be adhered to when conducting transactions at the track (i.e. registration, scale line, tech, etc.)
- At the completion of a race, we ask that while in the scale line, please keep your helmet on or have a mask ready to put on once you take the helmet off
- Parking spots located directly in front of the main infield building will NOT be available for this event. WKC officials will use this space to create a lane between the scales (left covered portion of the building) and post-race tech (right covered portion of the building)
Pre-registering for this event will make things substantially easier for all parties concerned. On Friday night and Saturday morning, registration staff will be set up under the left covered portion of the building to give you your pre-purchased wristband and accept your pre-tech certification sheets. Any transaction taking place at the track will be done in the normal location inside the right portion of the building where lines could be long and wait times substantial due to the limited number of people allowed inside. Please take advantage of online and mail-in purchases to help everyone in this cause!
The event schedule will be posted very soon. 2019 year-end awards will be given out on Saturday evening in an informal setting after the day’s events. We look forward to honoring class champions and special award winners that evening. Please stay up-to-date by check our website and social media outfits often and by signing up for the emailed newsletter. As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to the Board of Directors at bod@woodbridgekartclub.com. We look forward to an exciting, albeit different, start to the 2020 season!
