The Woodbridge Kart Club Board of Directors is pleased to announce a new partnership with the American Kart Racing Association (AKRA) as the primary insurance provider for the Woodbridge Kart Club and its members. The Board spent tireless hours researching our options for the 2021 season as track costs and insurance rates continue to rise amidst an ongoing global pandemic. In the research process it was clear that the AKRA insurance program is the most cost-effective option for The Woodbridge Kart Club while providing better coverage for all of our participants!

What does this change mean for you, the member? Absolutely nothing! The Woodbridge Kart Club is continually committed to providing the best road racing experience in the eastern United States. Our track operations, procedures, and preregistration processes will go unchanged and we hope you will continue to expect the same great program each and every time you come to race with us!
As previously released, our 2021 schedule has been finalized and can be seen here:
- April 17-18 (Shenandoah Circuit)
- May 22-23 (Summit Point Main) – AKRA National Road Racing Event
- July 10-11 (Shenandoah Circuit)
- Aug 21-22 (Summit Point Main) shared with FRP – AKRA National Road Racing Event
- Sept 24-26 (Pittsburgh International Race Complex) – AKRA and WKA National Event
The Board is very pleased with the announcement of our complete schedule and the ability to provide our membership with quality insurance coverage at an affordable rate so that we may continue to operate events at our home facility in Summit Point, WV. The Board of Directors is also committed to be in constant communication with all of our partners in other karting organizations. If we are able to accommodate other series within the confines of our schedule, we will always welcome and pursue such an opportunity.
Please remember to keep up to date with all the things happening with your club at our website www.woodbridgekartclub.com and make sure you are on the mailing list to receive updates as they are delivered to our membership. As we progress through the winter months, the Board will be working on specifics with class structure and will announce those well in advance of our season opener. Also, please mark your calendars for the 2021 annual membership/elections meeting to be held at Summit Point Raceway on Saturday, February 13, 2021.
