WKC board, officials addressing ongoing issues with CIK 206 classes

SUMMIT POINT, W. Va. — With two of our four 2023 race weekends now in the record books, Woodbridge Kart Club officials are continuing to address ongoing issues with the CIK 206 Lite and Heavy divisions.

At both the Summit Point Shenandoah Regional in April and the AKRA Nationals at NCCAR in May, multiple drivers in the senior 206 classes have continued to display a disregard to rules and driving-etiquette requests from series officials.

These infractions jeopardize drivers’ safety and create an unfair racing environment for the entrants who respect series rules and requests from officials.

Club officials wish to inform our members that the Board of Directors is spending a great deal of time on these issues and adjustments to the WKC 206 divisions are forthcoming.

WKC will continue to work to ensure that certain racers do not continue to have adverse affects on the majority of our faithful competitors and members.

The next WKC series points event is the June 16-18 Dart Kart Club-hosted AKRA Nationals at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Pre-registration for the Mid-Ohio Nationals is now open at dartkartclub.com.

The next WKC-hosted event is our annual summer Regional set for July 8-9 at Summit Point’s Shenandoah Circuit. Pre-registration for the July Shenandoah Regional will open in the coming weeks.
