ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. — Everything you’ll need to know before attending this year’s NCCAR AKRA Nationals Hosted by WKC – May 15/16/17, 2026
- Location – NC Center for Automotive Research, 310 Technology Drive, Garysburg, NC 27831, I-95 NC exit 173
- License – You must hold a current valid AKRA membership to enter and race at this event. Weekend AKRA memberships are no cost to all current WKC and DKC members and $20 to all others. Every driver must have signed the 2026 AKRA membership waiver.
- Entry fees & Schedule:
- Pre-registration opens Friday, April 17 at 12:00am.
- Pre-registration pricing will end, and at-track pricing will begin on Tuesday, May 12th at 7pm.
- Practice Day – $95 pre-entry, $140 at-track
- Race Entry – $140 pre-entry, $165 at-track

- Pit Passes:
- All participants must wear the red NCCAR wristband at all times as well as the AKRA wristband
- $40 Driver – Friday/Saturday/Sunday, $20 Non-driver – Friday and Saturday. $10 – Non-driver Sunday. Children 7 and under – no charge but must have a wristband.
- New MINORS Pit Pass Procedures – All Minors (not just Minor Drivers) attending the event must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who will sign a new Minor’s Waiver for each Minor for this event. If the parent or legal guardian is not attending the event, they must download the Minor’s Waiver from the WKC website, print it out on a colored sheet of paper, sign it, have it notarized and have the Minor bring the form to the event.
- Thursday Night Track Entry – AKRA has arranged for access to the NCCAR paddock from 6pm to 9:30pm Thursday night. Only people with pre-paid wristbands can enter the track. Wristbands must be pre-paid before 5pm Tuesday 5/12. There will be trailer drop-off with no set-up. Those entering may have to wait for the WKC setup crew to finish laying out reserved sponsor parking before dropping their trailers. - Gate, Pit Pass Sales & Entry – The NCCAR gate will open at 7am Friday morning and will be open through the end of the event. Please do not line up early for this event – Technology Drive is not wide or long and we are prohibited from blocking the access to the massive Lowes warehouse. Pit pass sales will be open from 7am to 10pm Friday and Saturday, and 7am to 1pm Sunday. Pit pass sales are online, cash or check only. New arrivals at NCCAR after 10pm Fri/Sat who have not prepaid for their wristbands will have to wait until 7am the following morning to access the track.
- Paddock & Power – There are 70+ spaces 20’ by 50’ in the gravel South Paddock and an additional 40+ spaces 20’ by 70’ in the grass North Paddock. Power will be available for purchase at the event in the South Paddock. WKC Sponsors have first priority for power purchase if they preregister and will be contacted to reserve their paddock spaces and power. Power pricing: 50 amp $50, 30 amp $30, 20 amp $20. Cash sales only. You must have a WKC band on your power cord or it will be removed. You may need a 50a to two 30a splitter and 100’ or more of power cord to access power.
- Race Fuel – There will be no race fuel for sale at NCCAR. Fuel for 206 classes is available at the Shell station at I-95 NC exit 176.
- Food Truck – The 10-33 Cook House food truck will be at the track Fri/Sat/Sun from 7am to 2pm, serving breakfast and lunch.
- Accommodations and Dining – There are many hotels and restaurants in Roanoke Rapids, I-95 NC exit 173, 3 miles south of the track.
- Camping – Available Friday – Sunday at no cost to participants, Showers available.
- Quiet Time – 9pm to 7am, no engines allowed to be run.
