WKC Announces 2025 Racing Schedule, Featuring Four Weekends between Summit Point and NCCAR

SUMMIT POINT, W. Va. — Woodbridge Kart Club is pleased to announce four weekends of WKC-hosted racing in 2025 — three at Summit Point Motorsports Park in the West Virginia panhandle and one at the North Carolina Center for Automotive Research (NCCAR) in Roanoke Rapids, N.C.

The series will open April 11-13 with a new track. For the first time in the club’s 60-plus-year existence, WKC will host a race at Summit Point’s Jefferson Circuit.

Located outside SPMP’s Summit Point (Main) Circuit’s Turns 2-3, the Jefferson Circuit is 1.56 miles, features a pair of 1400’ straightaways, and a number of sweeping high-speed corners paired with multiple tighter, lower-speed corners. WKC will run Jefferson in the counter-clockwise direction, and the event will include a full Friday practice leading up to racing Saturday and Sunday.

For the third consecutive year, WKC will head to NCCAR for our second points race May 16-18.

NCCAR is conveniently located for many, about one mile off Interstate 95 just south of the Virginia / North Carolina border. The city of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., is one exit south of the track, where there are numerous options for hotels, restaurants and shopping.

While it’s the second race of the WKC points series, NCCAR will open the five-race AKRA / Hoosier Kartsport National Road Racing Series.

The July Regional at Summit Point’s Shenandoah Circuit returns to the WKC calendar in 2025 after a year absence. Set for July 26-27, this two-day event marks the only opportunity for karts to race the challenging Shenandoah course in 2025.

After running Shenandoah in the counter-clockwise direction in April 2024, we’ll return to the traditional clockwise direction in 2025.

August has WKC back at the longtime home of the club, Summit Point’s high-speed 2-mile Summit Point (Main) Circuit for the final WKC-hosted race of the year. The August 22-24 weekend will continue as a three-day event with a full day of Friday practice, and it will serve as Round 4 of the AKRA National Series.

In addition to these four confirmed weekends, more road races in partnership with AKRA and Dart Kart Club, which will count toward WKC series points, may be announced in the near future.
