SUMMIT POINT, W. Va. — Woodbridge Kart Club (WKC) is thrilled to announce the launch of a brand-new three-race sprint series, a groundbreaking addition to the club’s 2025 schedule. This marks the first time in WKC’s history that a dedicated sprint program will complement its long-standing four-race Road Racing Series.
The sprint series will feature three single-day events, all set to take place on Sundays at the Washington Circuit of Summit Point Motorsports Park. The temporary circuit is similar to the track regional Mid-Atlantic sprint series competed on in the 2000s.
The 2025 WKC Sprint Series schedule is as follows:
- Sunday, May 25
- Sunday, June 29
- Sunday, September 14
After months of planning and discussion, the WKC Board of Directors officially approved this exciting new series during a meeting held on January 16.
The tentative class structure is as follows:
- 206 Cadet
- 206 Sportsman
- 206 Junior
- 206 Senior Medium
- 206 Senior Heavy
- KA-100
- 125 TaG
- 125 Shifter (KZ and Honda)
This innovative sprint program represents a significant step forward for WKC, offering members and racers a fresh and exhilarating format to enjoy competitive karting in 2025.
