2026 WKC Road Racing Series Schedule Announced

SUMMIT POINT, W. Va. — Woodbridge Kart Club is pleased to announce one confirmed and three tentative dates that make up our 2026 Road Racing Series schedule.

The schedule is very similar to the 2025 version with four WKC-hosted road races — two regionals and two nationals.

For the second straight year, the series will open April 10-12 at Summit Point Motorsports Park‘s 1.7-mile Jefferson Circuit. We held our inaugural event at this circuit in 2025, and had a respectable turnout with many racers complimenting the 14-turn course.

May will see our club head south for our only event of the year away from Summit Point.

For the fourth consecutive season, we’ll host Round 1 of the AKRA National Road Racing Series May 15-17 at the North Carolina Center for Automotive Research (NCCAR) near Roanoke Rapids, N.C. The fast-paced 2-mile course has been popular among racers in recent years and 2026 will see an adjusted timeline with a later Friday practice start and condensed Sunday schedule in an effort to shorten the event and cut down travel costs for racers and families.

The summer months will heat up with two WKC-hosted road races following up Dart Kart Club‘s Mid-Ohio AKRA Nationals in June.

We’re back at Summit Point’s Shenandoah Circuit for our annual July 25-26 WKC Regional. As is custom, Shenandoah is a two-day event (no Friday practice).

Three weeks later we’ll host our largest event of the year, the Summit Point AKRA Nationals August 14-16 at Summit’s famous 2-mile Main Circuit. The Summit Point Nationals event attracted over 120 drivers and nearly 350 race entries this past summer.

Jefferson, NCCAR and Summit Main will include Friday practice.

* As of October 2025, all Summit Point dates are tentative. While we don’t expect any changes, if a date does get changed, we’ll post it immediately on the WKC Facebook and our email newsletter.
