SUMMIT POINT, W. Va. — Summer is here and Woodbridge Kart Club is preparing for the annual July Road Racing Regional at Summit Point Motorsports Park’s Shenandoah Circuit in the West Virginia panhandle.
This year’s summer race at the Shenandoah falls on Saturday and Sunday, July 8-9, and pre-registration for the two-day event will open at 8am Thursday, June 22.
Racers can pre-enter for second and final Shenandoah regional of the year at WKC’s RaceDay online registration website.
There is no Friday practice at this race. Gates will open for parking Friday evening with both Saturday and Sunday starting with at least two rounds of group practice and racing throughout each day.

Team Races will return
In addition to regular WKC points racing for all classes, team races will return for the July regional.
After points races Saturday, WKC will open the tricky 1.6-mile Shenandoah Circuit for team races. CIK 206, CIK 100 TaG and CIK 125 TaG will all be offered if there is enough participation in each division.
In team races, two drivers pair with one driver running the first portion of the race before pitting to make a driver change. At that point, the second team driver will take the controls and finish the remainder of the race.
Team races have had a long history at WKC events and racers are typically eager to give the creative, different format a try. We’re hoping for good participation in this latest offering of these special races.
Team race rules will be announced and discussed in the drivers meeting at the track. The entry fee will be $50 cash per team, payable at the track Saturday, July 8.
This will be the first time we’ve offered team races since the April 2022 Shenandoah regional.
We hope to see everyone at the track this July for another exciting weekend of WKC road racing!
