SUMMIT POINT, W. Va. — Pre-registration opened last week for the May 20-22 AKRA / Hoosier Kartsport Road Race Nationals featuring the Animal Nationals presented by 4-Cycle Central at Summit Point Motorsports Park, and Woodbridge Kart Club is reporting 235 race entries have already been received.
WKC received over 200 race entries on day one of pre-registration Wednesday, April 20. Since then entries have continued to file in with plenty more surely on the way.
Over 75 drivers have entered Friday practice, and the headline Animal Nationals divisions — Saturday’s MGM Chassis Prelude to the Nationals (4-Cycle Sprint 390 Final 1) and Sunday’s 4-Cycle Central Animal Nationals (4-Cycle Sprint 390 Final 2) — each currently boast 25 racers in the starting lineups.
Pre-registration for the big event — Round 1 of the 2022 AKRA National Road Race Series — will remain open until the week of the race. But don’t wait! Grid lineups are set by the order of pre-registration in all classes except Sunday’s Animal Nationals, which will be inverted from pre-entry receipt.
