SUMMIT POINT, W. Va. — A successful season-opening event at Summit Point Motorsports Park’s Shenandoah Circuit on Easter weekend gives us great momentum heading to our biggest race of the year, the May 20-22 AKRA / Hoosier Kartsport Road Race Nationals featuring the Animal Nationals presented by 4-Cycle Central at Summit Point’s famous 2.0-mile Main Circuit.
As of this writing, we’re exactly one month away from the Nationals and pre-registration will open tomorrow, Wednesday, April 20.
As always with WKC events, there are two ways to pre-enter: online and mail in.

AKRA / WKC Nationals Event Schedule: Weekend Schedule
Here are six important items to keep in mind while registering and preparing for the Nationals.
1) For this event, WKC will offer competitors who register for 4 classes AND pre-pay for Friday practice a $60 discount on their total cost (roughly a 10% savings). When you enter 4 or more classes and Friday practice, use the discount code RUN5 to receive $60 off the total cost.
2) When pre-registering for the event, if you do not have an active RaceDay account, you need to create one and you must use the kart number that is registered on this program. Creating this account ahead of time and properly preregistering will save lots of time at the track! If you already have an account and forgot your credentials, please reach out to Rodney Smith a rodneysmithwv@comcast.net to get them. Please do not create another account!
3) All pre-registered competitors will be required to check-in with registration at the track to verify that all classes are correct and properly registered for, and your kart and transponder numbers are correct.
4) Pit pass sales / pick up will be open Thursday, May 19, from 6pm to 10pm. The line for wristbands will likely be long during these hours. We encourage you to pre-purchase your pit passes and it will save you time Thursday night and/or Friday morning.
If you arrive to the track overnight, you must purchase / pick up your wristbands in the morning. WKC officials will be on site at 6am Friday.
5) ANIMAL NATIONALS — There will be a special 4-wide salute shortly after the end of practice at 5pm Friday. We ask all Animal racers to attend; this opportunity will be used for photography, sponsor recognition and promotion / marketing for future Animal Nationals.
